Meet Guilaine Bayubasire, one of our newest and most inspiring entrepreneurs at Flexi Konnect this year. Driven by passion, purpose, and resilience, Guilaine is the Founder of WOSWIFT Women Foundation, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering refugee women in Uganda through creativity, skill-building, and entrepreneurship.
Through WOSWIFT, Guilaine provides women with hands-on training in crocheting and handmade crafts, helping them turn their creativity into sustainable income while restoring confidence, dignity, and hope. Her initiative not only equips women with practical business skills but also builds a supportive community where they can share stories, learn from one another, and grow together.
Guilaine believes that every woman regardless of her background has the power to rebuild, create, and lead. “Refugee women are not victims they are creators of a new future,” she says. “Through WOSWIFT Women Foundation, I transform creativity into opportunity, empowering women with skills and confidence to achieve economic freedom and inspire lasting change in their communities.”
